A nobleman plays a trick on a drunkard, arranging for an acting troupe to perform a play called The Taming Of The Shrew: The beautiful and gentle Bianca has no shortage of admirers, but her father insists that she will not marry until her shrewish sister, Katharina, is betrothed. To speed up their own advances, Bianca’s suitors persuade fortune-seeker Petruchio to court Katharina. Their plan works – he quickly marries her and carries her off to his country house, where he attempts to tame her… The HandleBards present knee-slappingly funny all-female Shakespeare.
