Flood engineers from Perth and Kinross Council are hosting 2 drop-in sessions to discuss flooding in George Street, at Coupar Angus Town Hall (Lesser Hall) on Thursday 25 August and Wednesday 31 August 2016 from 3pm - 8pm. These sessions will include a slide show, display boards and an information leaflet. Representatives from the Council and its consulting engineers, Capita, will be available to answer questions. In addition, a representative from SEPA will be available on Thursday 25 August to provide information on SEPA’s roles as the strategic flood risk authority and the national flood forecasting and flood warning authority. A representative from the Scottish Flood Forum will also attend on both days to provide specialist advice on property flood protection products; flood insurance renewal; and preparing for, and dealing with, a flood event.
Those attending the drop in sessions will be given an opportunity to record their views and questions. A response to the questions raised will be prepared and issued to the community summarising the discussions held during the events. Flood engineers will then report to the next available Environment Committee on the outcome of the consulting engineers report and the drop in sessions.
