Two Coupar venues are taking part in this year's Doors Open Days in September.  A stained glass window at St Anne's Episcopal Church St. Anne’s Episcopal Church on Forfar Road boasts a fine organ built by Harrison & Harrison of Durham, beautiful stained glass windows and an oak reredos depicting the Last Supper. The Church will also host a Mini Arts Festival features an arts & crafts display, quilting demonstration and drop-in workshop with local artist Roz Arno-Button. Sunday’s highlight is a music recital by Walter Blair (organ & keyboard) and Geoffrey Bridge (oboe)! Opening hours are Sat 7th, 10:00-16:00; Sun 8th, 15:00-17:00  A printing demonstration by John Easson at Quarto Press The Quarto Press is located at Beech Hill Road. The outbuildings housing this press were originally built as a cottage, stable and wagon-shed to the Grade B listed Beech Hill House (1750-1800).
Visitors will be able to try their hand at historical letterpress printing and view rare machinery, including typecasters and presses, and dozens of old gadgets and objects from the trade. Opening hours are Sat 7th-Sun 8th, 10:00-17:00 Optional tours available (no booking required). Also, visitors may view demonstrations by John Easson on Sat 7th-Sun 15th, 10:00-17:00 daily, and 10:00-19:00 on Fri 13th-Sat 14th. Dozens more interesting venues will be opening their doors.
