The Strathmore Tattie Day will be an opportunity for you to pick up your seed tatties from the experts at Potato House, who offer specialty, heritage and organic seed tatties and advice.
There will be 30 varieties of seed potatoes on sale - so, bring your own bag!
You will also be able to swap seeds that you don't need with other growers and gardeners, and hear about how you can get more involved in growing local food.
Our highlight of the day will be a Tattie Talk at 1.30 pm by John M Marshall ‘ A Peruvian Tattie Adventure’. In this 45 mins session you will hear all about his latest adventure to find out more about the origins of the European Potato, Solanum Tuberosum, or as we call it locally the “tattie”.
This is a free event. Complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits will be available, donations are welcome and will go towards supporting our community growing project.
