Perth and Kinross Council will begin charging for collecting food and garden waste in brown lidded wheelie bins. The following statement was made today:
"It was decided to introduce an annual charge of £25.00 for those who wished to use their brown bins for garden waste collection. This will be introduced on 1 April 2018. This will be publicised at the start of next year with details of the service and how to sign up."
The following materials are suitable for disposal in your brown bin:
Food Waste
All cooked & uncooked food
Dairy & eggs - including shells
Meat, fish & bones
Tea bags & coffee grounds
Fruit & vegetables
Bread, cakes & pastries
Rice & pasta
Garden Waste
Grass cuttings
Leaves
Weeds & clippings
Small twigs & branches
Sawdust, bark & hay
Cut flowers & houseplants
