Strengthening Families is a 7 week programme that helps families with young people in P6 & P7. The programme looks at age appropriate parental expectations, positive parent-child effect, empathy with parents’ stresses and strategies, positive goal setting & planning, supportive family involvement, youth reflective skills, peer refusal skills.
 
What happens?
As a family you attend one session each week for 7 weeks. The sessions are held in the evenings 5.00-7.30pm
 
Each week you will learn by…

• Taking part in fun activities
• Sharing discussions
• Watching informative DVDs

 
What about dinner, child-minding, transport and does it cost?

• An evening meal is provided at each session
• Crèche facilities are available for brothers and sisters
• Transport can be arranged
• The programme is FREE!

 
Where?
Blairgowrie Community Campus – Thursday 22nd, 29th September, 6th, 27th October, 3rd, 10th, 17th November (Programme starts at 5.00 and finishes at 7.30pm, with a half hour interval for tea).

Susan Brown will begin a series of lipreading classes at Rattray Community Connect in Saturday 6th October 2016, 12-2pm, continuing either weekly or fortnightly (depending on numbers) until mid December.

New students will get a chance to meet students from last term.

The Blairgowrie Learning Centre, in partnership with Perth College, has announced its schedule for leisure classes for Autumn 2016. 

​Classes include computing, photography, writing a newsletter, upholstery, painting and drawing and various languages.
